Kilimanjaro ablaze!

According to reports coming out of the African media, the north-western side of Kilimanjaro, near the Rongai Route, has been damaged by a fire. At the moments officials are reluctant to give any details of the extent of the damage, though strong winds have exacerbated the problem and some reports suggest that the area affected may even have reached as far as the base of Mawenzi.
