New book on Kilimanjaro!

Friday 26th October 2007

A new book on climbing Kilimanjaro has just been published. Written by Chris Baker, who climbed the mountain in 2005, the book deserves special mention because all profits go to the Kilimanjaro Porters Assistance Project (KPAP) – a decision made after Chris saw just how hard they worked on the mountain, and the conditions they were forced to endure. As Chris himself says, the book could be useful to those planning their own climb, giving them a foretaste of what climbing Kilimanjaro is really all about.

The book is entitled Kilimanjaro: Hakuna Matata (which those who’ve been to East Africa will know translates as Kilimanjaro: No Problem) is available only from Chris’ website. A good Christmas present – along with a copy of our guide, of course – for those thinking about climbing, or about to climb, God’s Greatest Mountain.
