Kilimanjaro summit in gmail ad

A reader has brought to my attention the latest ad for gmail, google’s email system. The ad lasts for a couple of minutes and shows various people – and animals – transporting an envelope across various parts of the globe over land and sea (and, indeed, under the sea too). The commercial is made up from video clips sent in by users. I’m not entirely sure of the appropriateness of using Uhuru Peak - a near-sacred place to many people - in something as grubby as a commercial. That said, it’s a cracking ad and, as you’d expect, somebody sent in a clip from the top of Kilimanjaro that was duly used in the ad.
