Climb with us!

Join me on the Roof of Africa as together we trek up the continent’s highest mountain: Kilimanjaro!

For 2008 we are organising a number of treks up God’s Greatest Mountain. These treks will cater for a range of budgets and will follow all the major routes on the mountain, including:wpe3bc1f18_0f.jpg

  • Machame Probably the most popular trail on the mountain - and not without reason!
  • Marangu For those who don’t want to sleep under canvas, here’s the original Kilimanjaro route - and a beautiful one it is too!
  • Umbwe For those who think they’re tough enough, the steepest route on the mountain!
  • Lemosho A personal favourite - quiet, beautiful, varied - and just lovely.

In addition, this year we are delighted to announce four rather special treks on a new trail!

Pioneer a new route on the mountain!

Fancy pioneering a new  route on the mountain? To be amongst the first to blaze a trail that we believe, in years to come, will become the most popular on the mountain? A trail that’s been specifically designed to combine the best of everything the mountain has to offer - exotic wildlife, fantastic scenery and a wonderful wilderness experience away from the crowds? And which, furthermore, offers you the greatest chance of reaching the summit?

To find out more about this rather special opportunity, click on this link to take you to our Unique Rongai page.

Why climb with Climb Mount Kilimanjaro?

Whether you’re booking on one of our top-of-the-range Unique Rongai treks or one of our standard climbs, we think we provide one of the best services both on and off the mountain:

wp51a7ccdd_0f.jpg All our treks offer:

  • Unique opportunities to vary the trek and explore the mountain  With at least two guides (myself and one or more local guides) accompanying every group, we can offer a much more flexible itinerary than other companies. For example, if after reaching Uhuru Peak some people wish to sleep at the summit, whilst others wish to return to base camp, both parties can be accommodated.
  • An exemplary ethical policy  Our policy towards both our crew and the natural environment of Kilimanjaro is amongst the best on the mountain. Follow this link to see our ethical policy.
  • Our unparalleled knowledge of the mountain  We did, after all, write the book...

We also like to think that our service away from Kilimanjaro is also first-rate...

  • By using only hotels that we recommend in the book, you know that everywhere you’ll stay has been chosen because we genuinely like them – rather than because they offer the best deals for the agents.
  • During the research of the book, we ate in every restaurant and drank in every bar. It’s that knowledge that we can now use to ensure that you enjoy the best food (and drink the finest beer!) that the region has to offer.
  • We can also offer plenty of things to do when we’re not on the mountain, from shopping to sightseeing, meeting the locals in their homes to enjoying a picnic by a waterfall.
  • Our package also includes transfers to and from Kilimanjaro International Airport - so our responsibility for you starts the moment you clear customs.

You will also find a schedule of Trekking dates, which shows our trekking plans for 2008. Finally, if you have already settled upon a trek, go to the how to book page.
